Reporting to the Benefits Manager, this position will assist employees with basic benefit questions and requests. Maintain employee information, reconcile insurance billings, Exit checklists, documents and initiate COBRA.

What will you own?

  • Daily administration of employee health & welfare benefit plans
  • Respond to and ensure timely resolution of employee inquiries
  • Maintain benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations both internally and with external providers
  • Conduct Benefits new hire orientation (NHO)
  • Review and reconcile weekly carrier connection reports
  • Liaise with external benefits providers and vendors on inquires and resolution of any issues
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver benefit communications including employee onboarding, open enrollment, confluence, and other initiatives
  • Perform audits and reconciliation of benefits related enrollments, billing, and data to ensure accuracy
  • Partner and collaborate with other members of Human Resources as well as cross functional teams such as payroll, finance, and legal
  • Other benefit projects and assignments as necessary (ie, Open enrollment, Benefits Fair, ACA filings & 401(k) testing)
  • Supports the administration of base pay programs (reviewing job descriptions for FLSA and pricing determination, reviewing external benchmarks, reviewing pay ranges and market pricing, reviewing internal equity)
  • Assists with salary survey participation, submittal, and analysis of published survey data
  • Assists with auditing of pay related data/information in HR systems/company sites
  • Reviews and maintain records for employee experience for internal equity review  
  • Develops communication and training materials for compensation area
  • Provides administrative and analytical support with annual compensation planning cycle (merit, promotions, equity)
  • Helps with various compensation initiatives and projects as assigned

What you have:

  • 2+ years HR/Employee Benefits experience; knowledge or experience with compensation a plus.
  • Respectful of sensitive issues.
  • Experience with Google drive, Microsoft Word, Excel.
  • Analytical - able to handle large volumes of data accurately down to the granular level.
  • Integrity – Large volume of confidential information requires strict confidentiality.
  • Time management skills and ability to work independently as well as with a team.
  • Problem Solving Skills – gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
  • Interpersonal Skills – focuses on task at hand. Maintains confidentiality.
  • Communication – Listens and gets clarification. Responds to inquiries quickly with professionalism and tact. Writes clearly and informatively. Edits work for errors. Able to read and interpret information accurately and concisely.
  • Ability to organize, manage and prioritize.
  • Teamwork – Willing and eager to help others and share knowledge and skills.
  • Dependability – Follows instructions, responds to management direction. Willing to commit to additional hours when necessary to reach Firm objectives.
