 Responsibilities:

  • Work at the interface of agronomy data science and engineering to perform data explorations, analysis and platforms for presenting data and analysis to agronomist
  • Enable the agronomy operations team to rapidly analyze and process data to fit metrics designed by data science to enable reporting on progress and completion by providing real time stats
  • Attend and become an active stakeholder in the Field Reporting Steering Committee
  • Extract quantitative insights from our datasets and models that enable deeper understanding and assessment of our agronomic services
  • Be at the forefront of all conversations with internal and external data stakeholders to ensure the requirements to enable successful execution of commercial processes and buyer specifications from contract development through completion of contract
  • Represent value of Agronomic data and identity preservation during buyer team business development activities
  • Support upstream data solutions teams GeoInnovation, Data Labs, Field Data Solutions, and Product by identifying and providing outputs, answer data stakeholder questions, and provide input for marketing and sales collateral
  • Support downstream data users – Agronomist and Account Managers – with visit preparation, grower advising, and grower retention
  • Collaborate with the Data Operations Manager to fuel call plan activity and determine how, when, and why each data point is collected
  • Gain mastery and deep functional understanding of all Agronomy data and data collection collaborators (e.g., Geo Innovation)
  • Complete understanding and capabilities on how to surface and serve data to key stakeholders

 Competencies:

  • Independent, creative, operate on the motto that no idea is a-priori good or bad
  • Believe in objective testing
  • Embrace building narratives from data and are comfortable with critical decision-making based on data
  • Effectively connect disparate ideas and divergent angles of Indigo products
  • Very much hands-on in all aspects of end-to end analysis including data gathering, exploration, data cleaning and processing, analysis, engineering a platform and communication through formal as well as informal presentations

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS w/emphasis on coursework of a quantitative nature (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics) Master’s degree preferred
  • Solid skill-set analyzing data and communicating recommendations
  • 5 years of programming experience in SQL required
  • Experienced in developing Python or R based analysis
  • Substantial familiarity with creating graphical displays of data with code and BI/dashboarding tools
  • Ability and willingness to learn new programming languages and UI tools for data exploration and visualization and fast prototyping for problem solving
  • Familiarity with data infrastructure, querying and data mining
  • 1-2 years of experience in industry is required
  • Comfortable with fast paced and ambiguous work environment
  • Open to trying new and innovative approaches
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail

Location

On the edge of Charlestown, we are within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The Sullivan Square T and bus stop is also right next door! We are currently working remote/hybrid with the exception of our fantastic Biotrinsic team who work from the office and lab space here.
