Job Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate within a diverse team, demonstrating a strong work ethic.
  • Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies, following recipes.
  • Label, date, and rotate products according to FIFO principles.
  • Work independently and as part of a team, adapting to various tasks.
  • Prepare a wide variety of pastry items and breads using recipes.
  • Maintain knowledge of recipes, ingredients, allergens, and presentation.
  • Create pastry menu items with guidance and constructive feedback.
  • Operate efficiently in a clean, organized, and high-pressure environment.
  • Assist in inventory rotation and maintenance.
  • Adhere to NYC Sanitation Code policies and company guidelines.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Ability to consistently perform essential job functions safely and successfully.
  • Maintain regular, punctual attendance.
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand for prolonged periods and move efficiently to accomplish tasks.
  • Frequent movements, including bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and climbing stairs.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • 2 years of previous experience in a professional kitchen.
  • Proficient use of cutlery in a safe and swift manner.
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
  • Flexible availability, with the willingness to work more than 10 hours if needed.
