Visual Media Production Specialist
Overview
The role of the Online Learning Production Specialist is to develop visual media content for InterSystems customer-facing online training initiatives. This individual will develop media according to storyboards provided by technical course developers, using Adobe Creative Cloud, Open edX and other tools. They will be working with instructional designers and course developers located in our corporate headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts on a day-to-day basis.
Responsibilities
- Develop visual media, including technical video demonstrations, animations, simulations, and assessments according to content direction in storyboards
- Film and produce interview/talking-head videos
- Provide creative suggestions to course developers to convey instructional concepts
- Use department and corporate standards of functionality, effectiveness, and appearance when creating online resources
- Work with the Learning Technology Team to automate and optimize production process
- Suggest new ways to convey concepts as appropriate, as the learning industry evolves
- Post and update content in the learning management system
- Run online webinars, as necessary
Qualifications
- Experience in developing media, such as video, graphics, and interactive media using Adobe Creative Cloud
- Skills in video production and motion graphics
- Mixture of strong technical and communication/interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team to create instructional material
- Desire to learn new technologies
- Experience with HTML a plus
- Voiceover/audio editing experience a plus
Education and Training
- Bachelor’s degree in education, training, media production or a related field
- 2-5 years of experience developing technical online training in a corporate setting
- Background in computer science a plus
- Background in adult learning, online course development, or instructional design a plus
