The Videographer / Digital Animator is a creative collaborator within the marketing organization. Artistically driven and detail-oriented, this individual is responsible for concepting and executing effective and compelling video and motion graphics to support the Indigo brand across all channels. This person will apply Indigo’s brand style to create a video and animation architecture and aesthetic for the multiple stories Indigo has to tell. S/he will possess the expertise and know-how to critically contribute to projects requiring video production and/or motion design, and would be a welcome creative thinker in general. Happily working to consistently showcase Indigo’s innovator-DNA through captivating and seamless storytelling.

 

Responsibilities:

Create educational and instructional animation videos from concept to completion

  • Plan, shoot, and edit short videos in studio and on location with media that includes testimonials, interviews, mini-documentaries, educational videos, podcasts, social media videos, and TV spots
  • Add professional polish to finished film as well as craft videos from the ground up
  • Create and manage motion graphics in After Effects

Effectively communicate to multiple stakeholders on timelines to ensure project progress and completion

  • Work closely with project management teams through storyboarding, scripting, and production process
  • Collaborate with content owners to strategize and produce compelling and valuable content

Set up and manage facilities, for internal and external production needs

  • Transport, set up, and operate production equipment including, cameras, audio and video recorders, lighting equipment, props and microphones for on-location and in-studio production
  • Operate and maintain proper levels and calibration of cameras, audio and video recorders, and other production equipment

Obtain and catalog all video and audio recordings pertaining to each individual job and shoot

  • Catalog and manage all video and audio assets in an exceptionally organized and easily accessible manner

  • Animation graphics and moving content creation and editing skills
  • Ability to showcase creative thinking through a range of varied styles and techniques
  • Strong understanding of video formats, compression techniques, and format requirements/constraints
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high energy, team environment and juggle multiple tasks
  • Strict attention to detail with excellent analytical, project management, and time management skills
  • Capable of effectively communicating with multiple stakeholders on timelines to ensure project progress and completion.
  • Ability to work as effectively solo as you are on a team
  • Fast learner, who can take direct feedback to adapt design style and graphics
  • Up to date on the latest trends and techniques in video motion graphics and visual effects
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating prior work and creative background

 

Qualifications:

  • 5-8+ years professional animation and video editing experience, working with agencies, production companies, directly with clients, or in-house
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects, with demonstrable experience in motion graphics
  • Advanced animation and motion graphics content creation skills
  • Exceptional and demonstrable still and motion photography skills
  • Proficient/knowledgeable in: Adobe Creative Cloud, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Audition, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Experience with still and motion graphics design, color correction, sound mixing, and video compression for multiple delivery platforms
  • 3D modeling/rendering experience, a plus
  • Typography, a plus
  • Collaborative storyboard software experience

Location

On the edge of Charlestown, we are within walking distance to restaurants and bars. The Sullivan Square T and bus stop is also right next door! We are currently working remote/hybrid with the exception of our fantastic Biotrinsic team who work from the office and lab space here.
