About the team
We put the customer at the center of everything we do, and everyone who works at Drift has a part in driving customer success. Marketing departments depend on individuals that have an operational mindset and come to rely on their Program Managers to ensure all parties are aligned with the prioritized work. They are typically known as the one source of truth. It’s up to the Marketing team to create the market, deliver an amazing customer experience, and fill the funnel for our high-performing Sales team.
About the Role
You will join Drift Studios, the marketing teams’ video production group, which focuses on producing engaging video content for the entire organization. You will become a creative team member and manage and direct (two) junior video producers/directors. You will collaborate with our graphic designers, editors and partner with key players from across the organization to concept, direct, and create captivating and compelling content for social media, events, and various advertising (including OOH.) Our work scope includes video profiles, sizzle reels, branded videos, business updates, senior executive video messages, town halls, live webcasts, and conferences.
You are someone who is looking for the opportunity to showcase and develop your expertise in video production, post-production, and event production and to manage a small team of young producers. We are looking to build a team that produces world-class content that helps expand the Drift brand and performs exceptionally on social. (YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and wherever our current or future customers might be.)
You will assist/support directors, producers, and video editors in all aspects of the production process. Utilizing production resources, you will contribute creative solutions, in part, by acquiring the assets needed to produce compelling content and aid great storytelling. You’re adept at sourcing internally and externally: online content, music and stock libraries, production elements, additional b-roll footage, photos, home videos, etc.
You will develop shot lists, scripts, and timelines in close conjunction with editors and other producers. Assist in project management, administratively, and logistically. Collaborate with internal business partners and freelance technical crews.
You will also produce and/or edit pieces independently and assist with media management and organizational tasks associated with production (importing, organizing, logging footage, ordering transcripts, and file making).
By month 3 you'll
- Attend comprehensive organization training and learn the Drift story, how we work and our goals for the future
- Experience an in-depth product training, including learning how to use the product for your own business
- Have 1:1 meetings with your direct manager and meet with other key players
- Shadow colleagues in both Marketing and Sales, learn best practices for what make Drift Customers successful
By month 6 you'll
- Assist/support directors, producers, and video editors in all aspects of the production process.
- You will develop shot lists, scripts, and timelines in close conjunction with editors and other producers.
- Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities.
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a the entire video production at Drift
- Review deliverables prepared by the team before passing to key stakeholders.
- Identify and manage project risk - and escalate issues when needed to remove blockers.
By 1 year you’ll
- Contribute creative solutions, in part, by acquiring the assets needed to produce compelling content and aid great storytelling.

- Assist in project management, administratively, and logistically. Collaborate with internal business partners and freelance technical crews.
- Produce and/or edit pieces independently and assist with media management and organizational tasks associated with production (importing, organizing, logging footage, ordering transcripts, and file making).
About you and what type of skills you’ll need:
- 5+ years of experience creating video content (Please provide samples and explain your role)
- Experience (or knowledge / familiarity) with the Adobe Creative Suite
- You have a fundamental understanding of production, including the ability to shoot footage on a DSLR camera, lighting set-ups for both studio and location shoots and video editing or assistant editing (Digitizing, video editing project management)
- You have a proven ability to work with camera crews (in the field and in-studio), shoot b-roll, conduct interviews and contribute smart questions / ideas that aid in great storytelling.
- You are highly organized, resourceful, adaptable, and dedicated to contributing to the production of best-in-class videos.
- You have a keen attention to detail with the ability and willingness to manage competing deadlines while working simultaneously on multiple productions.
- You have proven leadership capabilities to advise on goal setting, vision, and resource planning to teams working through complex programs and launches.
- You have excellent people skills, including the ability to effectively communicate / influence business partners who are not as well versed in video / event production on project related concepts and logistics.
- You are a self-starter who is enthusiastic about pitching ideas, brainstorming, collaborating with video producers, video editors, and other creative and marketing team members.
- You have a passion for new and relevant technology, trying new things and disrupting the status quo
- You have a proven ability to effectively leverage common Marketing tools (Google Workspace, Airtable, Asana, Jira, etc.).
