Copywriter
Boston-based company Piaggio Fast Forward Inc. (PFF) was founded in 2015 by the Piaggio Group (the Italian manufacturer that created the iconic Vespa scooter). We are on a mission to build technology products that move the way that people move. We are looking for a Copywriter to work within our Marketing team to create compelling copy and content that support our brand marketing efforts. The right candidate will be an expert wordsmith with an editorial aesthetic and an eye for grammar, word play, and an understanding of what makes memorable messaging. They’ll be able to think strategically about word choice and copy cadence to help energize our brand voice and drive cultural relevance. The candidate must be deadline oriented, able to translate edits into creatively cohesive work, and understand the importance of cross-team collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Develop keen grasp of the PFF brand voice while continuously seeking to seasonally elevate the overall brand voice across all channels
- Concept and write short- and long-form copy across marketing channels and brand touchpoints that drives business needs, including editorial blog content, email, social, paid media, and beyond
- Help plan the brand content calendar in partnership with the Marketing team, execute the copy, and work with the design team to bring concepts to life
- Utilize performance insights from marketing teams (paid, email, social) to iterate and create more focused copy
- Stay current on trends, culture, and events; bring inspiring external insight into the work and have a natural curiosity for data
- Implement and maintain a streamlined process for collaborating with stakeholders from across the company to ensure a cohesive voice and tone across all product touchpoints and marketing channels
- Create documentation and tools that enable a shared understanding of brand voice for direct team and key collaborators
Skills & Qualifications
- 2-4 years of copywriting or content experience (either in-house or at an agency)
- Comfortable with data and insights to inform copy approach
- Ability to determine and execute copy strategy across multitude of platforms and channels
- Experience managing and writing to a brand voice
- Competitive knowledge of best-in-class brand building copy practices
- Strong conceptual skills with intuitive knowledge of how copy relates to design, graphics and concept inspiration
- Strong communication skills and understanding on how to approach copy in different mediums to drive conversion and engagement
- A strong portfolio that demonstrates ability to come up with original ideas and innovative approaches across channels
- Ability to prioritize and manage work, adhering to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
