Who We Are:
At MassMutual, we help millions of people find financial freedom, offer financial protection, and plan for the future. We’re passionate about helping millions of people find financial freedom and this passion has driven our approach to developing meaningful experiences for our customers. We do this by building trust with our customers by being knowledgeable problem solvers and prioritize their needs above all else. We Live Mutual. MassMutual was named a Top Place to Work in 2019 according to The Boston Globe and No. 84 on the Fortune 500 list of largest companies.
Meet the Team:
We’re building out our inhouse creative capabilities and we think we can build a team that can go toe-to-toe with some of the best “out of house” agencies.
The Opportunity:
You know the old agency model is going away but you still want to write and create great, persuasive copy and content across multiple channels. You like nothing better than to turn a subject that others might see as “dry” into a piece of work that’s anything but. You’re not a slave to award shows but you’d like to win a few, too.
As Copy and Content Lead, you’ll do all that and more as you help build our inhouse department into the sought-after destination we want it to be.
The Impact:
As the Copy and Content Consultant, you will:
Create content that achieves creative excellence and aligns with brand standards.
Work collaboratively with creative and marketing teams to further establish brand voice and tone, and copy guidelines.
Partner with art directors, designers, and other writers to develop fresh, unexpected concepts and storytelling ideas that accomplish project objectives.
Provide copy direction and guidance on small and large scale projects from creative conception to completion.
The Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in advertising, preferably at an external agency
5+ years of experience managing a creative team
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Highly collaborative and able to juggle multiple projects at once
Collaboration, humility, passion, and mentorship skills.
A desire to have fun and learn while doing good work — you don’t take yourself seriously, you take the work seriously.
The Ideal Qualifications:
Experience writing for financial services.
Comfortable across all media with focus on digital media, collateral, print, experiential, and video/film production.
