Content Writer
Job Description
Wayfair is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced in-house writer to join its team to research and create original content to assist buyers pre- and post-purchase through Buying Guides and How-Tos. As a member of Wayfair’s marketing team, you will execute strategies to deliver content and gather data to measure the impact of your work.
You will work with the Senior Content Writer to determine which Buying Guides and How-To content will deliver the most value to consumers and the site. The primary focus of this role is researching information to aid customers along their purchasing journey, writing content in a concise and meaningful way, and developing tactics to pitch the content to new audiences.
In this role you will:
- Work with team members to identify target markets for Buying Guides and How-To content
- Research appropriate product and care information
- Write compelling, quality content to appear on customer-facing pages to assist in customer conversion
- Assist in brainstorming creative content to make pages on Wayfair more sharable
Qualifications:
- The ability to research and write compelling articles
- At least 1-2 years’ journalism or content writing experience
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience with SEO and content marketing promotion a plus
