You will be a key contributor to the seven-person Acquia communications and content team here in Boston, helping build thought leadership and awareness across our global markets. In this role, you will have an immediate impact supporting and executing our editorial content work, the Acquia blog and our social media channels. The communications and content team is part of the 50-person Acquia marketing organization. As such, through your work, you will gain an understanding of how marketing content supports functions such as demand generation, public relations, executive thought leadership and more.

What will you do? Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Work with our blog editor to draft a few posts each month. We know you may not bring knowledge of the technology industry, so we’ll help you learn what you need to know. Our blogs average 800-1,200 words.
- Support our editorial content team on projects that may range from SEO research to constructing new pages for our website.
- Collaborate with our social media manager to create social posts.
- Draft and distribute internal communications such as the team’s company-wide newsletter.
- Work with the communications team to create our chief marketing officer’s LinkedIn Live interview series.
- Add media coverage to Acquia’s website.
This role is perfect for a junior or senior who is interested in gaining an understanding of how a global marketing and communications team strategizes, operates and executes. This six-month role stretches from January through June 2022.
Are you qualified?
You are pursuing a degree in journalism, communications, English or a related field and have a solid academic record. You are detail-oriented, able to take initiative and comfortable with multi-tasking. You have excellent writing skills. You’re able to work well as part of a team, but also independently and look for opportunities to own projects that deliver results. You may not know the software industry, but you’re willing to learn.
