Note: This is a six-month internship, taking place from January to June of 2018, and is a 40 hour/week commitment.

Is your life organized into three Excel spreadsheets? No? That's okay. But do you want it to be? Do you enjoy solving logic puzzles, working with numbers, and quantifying every aspect of your life? Great! Brightcove is looking for an analyst in the making, someone who gets excited about telling stories with data. In addition to becoming an Excel mastermind, you'll learn (or get more experience with) Salesforce, SQL, and Tableau, the major tools you'll need to work in one of the most in-demand professions out there. Best of all, you'll do it for Brightcove, a rapidly growing and industry leading tech company located in the heart of Boston?s Innovation District.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Use data to help marketing and sales leadership make decisions
• Influence every part of the business with your analytics support
• Turn massive data sets into simple and actionable reports

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficient with Excel - know the basic functions, how to use vlookups, etc.
• Some experience with a CRM preferred but not required
• Knowledge of SQL, Tableau, and Google Analytics is a plus
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Word)
• An analytical mind that can turn numbers into insights, recommendations, and actions
• Communication skills - Have the ability to transform complex reports into presentations so simple a dodo bird could understand them
• A strong desire to learn
• Comfort with working in uncharted territory - We don't have all of the answers, we need you to help us figure them out
• Passion and drive - You'll have the ability to go far if you choose to do so. We hope you do!

About the work environment

We are located in Boston's innovation district within walking distance from South Station. We strive to maintain a fun, casual and friendly environment at work.
