About the role
We’re looking for a Brand Design Lead to shape and steward the future of our brand identity. As a growing mobile app startup, we need a design leader who can seamlessly blend conceptual thinking with hands-on execution. This role is perfect for a strategic yet detail-oriented designer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to make a lasting impact on how our brand is experienced by millions of users.
You’ll be responsible for defining and maintaining the uniformity of our visual brand expression across all touchpoints, creating brand guidelines, and leading an upcoming brand refresh. You’ll manage and mentor a designer on your team while also rolling up your sleeves to produce high-quality design work yourself. Over time, you’ll help scale and expand the design team as our business grows.
Areas of Responsibility
- Brand Leadership: Own the visual brand identity, ensuring consistency and cohesion across all channels and platforms.
- Brand Guidelines: Develop, maintain, and evolve comprehensive brand guidelines to enable uniform design standards across the organization.
- Brand Refresh: Lead an upcoming brand refresh project, modernizing our visual identity to reflect our growth and vision.
- Design Execution: Create compelling visual assets for marketing campaigns, product launches, presentations, social media, and other customer-facing materials.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and grow the design team.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Brand Marketing, Product, and Leadership teams to ensure a unified brand experience across user touchpoints.
- Creative Strategy: Contribute conceptual thinking to brand storytelling, campaign ideation, and design direction.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional design experience, with at least 2–3 years in a senior or lead role.
- Proven experience building and evolving brand identities at a high-growth company, preferably in tech, mobile apps, or consumer products.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking and executional excellence across digital, print, and brand systems.
- Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
- Experience managing and mentoring designers, with an interest in building and scaling teams.
- Strong understanding of visual design principles, typography, and storytelling.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and balance strategic vision with hands-on execution.
