Role Description: Alliance Marketing Manager 


Role Purpose 


We are seeking a high-energy, self-starter to join our Marketing team to help drive solution positioning and marketing activities with our Technology Alliance Partners.

 

This person will help accelerate Wasabi’s Go-to-Market Strategy with partners who have complementary technologies to Wasabi hot cloud storage. They will communicate the value proposition for the end customers and channel partners as a key differentiator and growth tool. This person will help define joint messaging, manage key co-marketing activities, partner enablement, and other strategic marketing initiatives. The role will report to the Sr Manager, Alliance Marketing. All roles are currently work from home for the with the ability to join the team for occasional meetings in the office as planned. 

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with key alliances to build relationship, joint positioning, and co-marketing plans. 
  • Work closely with marketing, business development and channel sales stakeholders to prioritize partner strategy and facilitate recruitment, onboarding, channel engagement and marketing strategy. 
  • Marketing content and support for onboarding, launch and sales enablement globally. 
  • Understand the customer journey and discover new opportunities to increase reach to new customers through our channels in support of our global channel marketing team. 
  • Create, execute and report on joint marketing plans with key partners that include activities such as events, training, webinars and content creation including blogs, social media posts, case studies, solution briefs and other key assets. 
  • Develop and maintain core Alliance documents including messaging guides, customer presentations, and solution briefs. 
  • Set goals and objectives and report quarterly on joint campaign metrics and ROI. 
  • Communicate Wasabi value propositions at sponsored engagements, meetings and events. 
  • Other related projects and programs as needed. 

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of marketing, communications, channel and alliances experience. 
  • Embody Wasabi’s core values of H.O.T, humility, ownership and togetherness. 
  • Ability to understand and leverage Technology Alliance Partner solutions to educate and enable channel sales teams and create pull-through demand.
  • Strong relationship building skills to work with external key Alliances. 
  • Experience in technology industry with SaaS, storage, infrastructure, cloud or data protection and security a plus. 
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively with outstanding attention to detail is a must. 
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced remote working environment, so working independently to meet deadlines is important. 
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and be flexible to work in a rapidly changing environment and adapt to various business needs and evolving priorities in the partner ecosystem.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (Asana) and CRM (Salesforce) a plus. 
  • Be a team player and fun to work with is a must!
