In 2021, we raised a $20M Series A backed by Felicis Ventures (investors in Twitch, Shopify, Opendoor, and many others) and Battery Ventures. This year, we’re laser-focused on driving customer growth. 

Proton is looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our revenue team. This person will report into sales leadership and be responsible for the upsell/cross-sell function for our existing customer base. 

This role will be based in Boston with a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, office located in Kendall Square). 

What you'll do:

  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to drive revenue growth and ensure customers are maximizing the value of our product.
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts as the primary contact, while stepping in to assist with potential upsell opportunities for other accounts. 
  • Maintain detailed records of upsell activities and outcomes, using CRM tools to track progress and results.
  • Build and nurture strong customer relationships to foster loyalty and long-term partnerships.
  • Represent the company at industry events and customer meetings as needed.
  • Partner closely with Product to offer an ever-evolving feedback loop to deliver increasing value to our existing and future customers
  • Travel requirements: approximately twice a month.

You'll be a great fit for this role if: 

  • Demonstrated ability to identify upsell opportunities and drive revenue growth.
  • Proven experience in account management and customer success, preferably in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Strong empathy for customers and a passion for revenue and growth
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing customer needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers.
