Every week, we dig through our events calendar and hand-select five events worth checking out.  This week involves, agile games, awesome female founders, staying woke about unconscious bias, and much, much more. 

Agile Games Conference, Apr. 9 at 8:30 a.m.

The Agile Games Conference is designed to get your team performing better than ever using the Agile method. This year's focus is on high performing teams and psychological safety. At this event, you will play group games to improve team performance, increase psychological safety and support the practices of Lean and Agile. Past games have included exercises in product design, road mapping and more. 

 

Boston RB — Employer Panel, Apr. 10 at 6 p.m.

Boston Ruby Group and ezCater have teamed up to host an employer panel for aspiring Ruby developers. At this event, you will learn what local Ruby/Rails shops want in job candidates, what their interview processes look like, and much, much more. Companies like LevelUp, Notarize, thoughtbot and Consider will be there, so bring your business cards and put your best foot forward. 

 

She Geeks Out Unconscious Bias Workshop Sponsored by Acquia, Apr. 10 at 6 p.m.

You've probably heard the term "implicit bias," but do you really know what it means, and the implication it has on your workplace? Head over to Acquia's gorgeous office for a night of learning, networking and staying woke. You'll walk away from this interactive workshop with a clear understanding of what unconscious bias means and how different types of it occur in the workplace. 

 

Female Founder Online Demo Day, Apr. 12 at 12 p.m.

Boston Startup Founder 101 is hosting a live online demo day for female founders, where four promising startups from their global network will pitch their companies to a live audience of hundreds of investors and entrepreneurs. Founders presenting come from companies like SquarePeg, StockCard, ETrack Tech and more. 

 

Ten Costly Cloud Migration Mistakes Technology Leaders Need to Avoid, Apr. 12 at 6 p.m.

Breaking news: Cloud migration doesn't have to be a major headache. Boston New Technology is hosting the founder of Kaiburr, Hariram Ananthasubramanian, to review "the top ten mistakes technology teams need to avoid" to have faster and smoother cloud migrations. Kaiburr will conduct a live migration workshop following the seminar so attendees can test out Kaiburr's method's for themselves. There will be pizza.
