Every week, we dig through our events calendar and hand-select five events worth checking out. We’re particularly looking forward to these ones.

She Geeks Out Speed Recruiting Event, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m.

She Geeks Out is hosting something way more fun than your typical boring networking event: a speed recruiting party. They aim is to maximize attendees' time by directly connecting job seekers with recruiters who are hiring for specific jobs. So tech women of Boston, dust off your resumes and get out there. You won't be disappointed.

Introduction to Redux, Nov. 7 at 6:30 p.m.

Girl Develop It Boston loves to code, and this week they're tackling how to build applications with React and other JavaScript frameworks. You should go if you're eager to learn more about state management libraries, which make development more efficient and scalable. If you wish you had a better grasp on Flux and Redux, you should check it out — and bring your coder friends, too. 

Moving to ES6: a Workshop, Nov. 8 at 6:15 p.m.

Women Who Code and LevelUp are teaming up to host a coding and programming workshop designed for coders who have been working with Javascript for a while, but want to learn more about ES6. The class is free for all Women Who Code members, but attendance is limited. The hands-on workshop will be led by Liz Shaw, tech lead at HubSpot. Make sure to bring your laptop.

Ministry of Testing Boston invades TestBash Philadelphia 2017, Nov. 9 at 9 a.m.

If the sound of a two-day software testing conference is music to your ears, read on. TestBash Philadelphia 2017 registration has just opened, and for a cool price of $799, you can attend the event, hosted by Ministry of Testing. Held at Philly's FringeArts, a contemporary performance center, the event will feature over 16 software-filled talks and plenty of networking opportunities.  Still not convinced? Located on the river waterfront, FringeArts is housed in a renovated historic building that features a restaurant and beer garden. We're there.

Elixir with Love Conference, Nov. 10 at 9 a.m.

All-day conference "Elixir with Love" is for coders who want to learn more about Elixir (a programming language.) This event will introduce developers to the language and provide ample opportunities for networking with the members of the Elixir community. There will also be hands-on workshops to learn from all-star Elixirists on how to use Elixir in production scenarios.
