New dining app expands to Boston, gets you in and out in 30 minutes

Want a good, sit down lunch but need to be back at the office in 30 minutes? Allset, a dining app expanding to Boston, lets diners book a table, order their meal and pay for it before reaching the restaurant.

The service is available in 30 restaurants to start, including Fuji at Ink Block, Koy, Double Chin, Shawarma Falafel and Kashmir Indian Restaurant.

According to CEO Stas Matviyenko, the goal is to revive the glory days of workers eating out at restaurants for lunch, rather than sitting at their desks.

“We’re trying to bring people back to restaurants, rather than have them get delivery,” Matviyenko said. “We want that same great speed offered at restaurants.”

Matviyenko said the app only partners with restaurants that have at least three stars on Yelp.

The app is free for diners and charges participating restaurants a fee for each order submitted through Allset.

Allset currently works only during lunch, but will begin to test breakfast, dinner and brunch soon.

Headquartered in San Francisco, the company operates in Palo Alto, Manhattan, Brooklyn and Chicago. Matviyenko said in 2017 he plans on expanding Allset (which has raised a total of $3.35 million in seed funding) to other markets like Austin, Seattle, San Diego, Los Angeles and Philadelphia.
