HubSpot is hiring a leader to oversee it’s strategic business development efforts. HubSpot expanded its platform in recent years and introduced freemium tiers of its core marketing, sales and CRM products. This has lead to remarkable set of opportunities to work with strategic partners and the broader SaaS market. This person will report to the Chief Strategy Officer and ideally will be based out of San Francisco, CA. 

The Vice President of Strategic Partnerships will oversee development and expansion of relationships with two key types of partners. We have custom agreements with strategic partners like Google, Facebook, and Salesforce.com where we help our customers use both products together more effectively. In this capacity, you will work directly with our founders and leadership team to develop unique and remarkable opportunities.

Second are ‘Connect’ partners who are building on top of the HubSpot platform and APIs themselves. This is a program that is in its infancy and something we expect to invest heavily in over the next few years. The right person will bring experience, perspective, and a vision for how we can have develop this ecosystem to have a meaningful impact to our users.

HubSpot is looking for someone who has experience running these programs and is interested in coming to HubSpot to build a practice from the ground up. The role will work closely with our executive team, product and our corporate development function.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead global HubSpot’s business development team
  • Set the vision for HubSpot’s partnership ecosystem and business development efforts
  • Identify and engage with strategic partners. Expand existing agreements and develop new partnerships. Negotiate these key partnership agreements
  • Expand HubSpot ‘Connect’ ecosystem of integration partners. Meaningfully evolve the program to drive impact for HubSpot and our users

Strong Candidate will have:

  • 5 to 10 years of direct partnership experience at SaaS companies
  • A keen understanding in partnership strategies and economics
  • A strong background in contracts and negotiations
  • An ability to work across teams and on multiple projects at once
  • A deep network of contemporaries at various companies tackling similar problems
  • A strong content creator and thought leader in the space

Requirements:

  • BA or BS (MBA is a plus)
