We’re looking for a UX Research Lead to join our Product Design and UX Research team. This role will serve as the primary champion for deepening HubSpot’s understanding of our customers. You’ll be responsible for developing and executing a strategy for a growing team of four researchers, and working with them to meet their performance and development goals. You’ll take an active role in advising product teams, developing and conducting research plans using a variety of methods, and delivering actionable insights and recommendations. The ideal candidate will have a strong bias (the one bias that’s ok) towards conducting research in a lean, rapid, iterative manner.
Top candidates will have:
- Strong coaching skills
- Previous experience mentoring and leading a team of researchers
- Ability to help product managers and designers understand which type of research to run when, and act as a trusted advisor to the teams.
- Experience evangelizing, organizing, and leading lean research projects
- Diverse experience with range of research methods such as:
- Ethnographic studies
- Card-sorting
- Usability testing
- Customer interviews
- Surveys
- Persona development

- Knack for synthesizing feedback and data into actionable insights
- Ability to help product managers and designers understand which type of research to run when, and act as a trusted advisor to the teams.
- Strong experience with research activities including;
- Ethnographic studies, card-sorting, usability
- Customer interviews, quantitative data gathering & analysis
- Persona development
- A mind for synthesizing feedback and data into actionable insights
