Since launching in 2006, MOO’s e-commerce business has been extremely successful in rapidly growing revenue and customer numbers. This growth has critically depended upon our people, a high quality of products and services, as well as having a good grasp of what our customers value and need. And of course, we’re proud that MOO has also become a much-loved brand along the way. Headquartered in London and with US offices in Boston, Providence and Lincoln (RI) and Denver, CO. MOO has experienced consistent growth that has critically depended upon a high quality of products and services, and upon having an extremely good grasp of what MOO customers value and need.
Our Technical Product Owners are responsible for making sure our most important technical platforms and products feel loved. They lead the roadmap and metrics for the product and ensure that we are focused on the highest value work to deliver against business needs.

For areas where we largely rely on third party solutions, such as this role for Marketing, the role is about striking a delicate balance between getting the most out of a third party solution, without customising it to the point that we are eternally locked-in. You’ll figure out how to get the most out of the core / vanilla solution, and build integrations & solutions around the edge to add special capabilities when needed.
What You'll Do...
  • Become an expert in a certain part of our business (in this case Marketing) and earn the trust of our business owners
  • Take responsibility for the existing third party solutions that we have in place, making sure they run reliably and that any needed maintenance gets done well.
  • Help us get maximum value out of the solutions we have bought, by understanding their capabilities and our needs, then matching the two
  • Actively manage the vendors that we are working with
  • Work closely with our Data Warehouse team to make sure that data from these systems is passed into our Data Warehouse cleanly, and that analysts and colleagues alike can use our data analysis & visualisation tools to best effect
  • Understand new needs as they emerge, assess the different ways we could meet them
  • Drive selection of vendors, partnering with both our business colleagues and the broader technology & product A (we have a team of 100+ engineers, designers, agile coaches & product managers in London)
  • Translate business needs into implementation plans (either by selecting a vendor, building an integration, or working with the product teams to have something built bespoke)
  • Relentlessly focus on quality - quality of data, performance, user experience, etcInfluence leadership and peers and guide strategic decision making that is sympathetic to both the needs of the customer and technical constraints
  • Be part of the broader community of Technical Product Owners, sharing & developing our ways of working
About You...
  • You have a track record of successful delivery in a technical role
  • Ideally you have experience working with Marketing Tech in an e-commerce business
  • You translate complex technical capabilities and constraints into plain English and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders
  • You’re good at handling multiple competing requests and making value-based decisions on the overall priorities
  • You enjoy collaborating with others, and aren’t phased by doing this across multiple locations (notably Boston & London)
What You'll Get...
  • MOO’s awesome and extensive benefits package, including (but not limited to)...
  • The opportunity to be part of a dynamic and fast growing team.
  • A vibrant, fun atmosphere with super smart people.
  • Medical, dental and vision plan (we’ll cover the cost for you and contribute to the cost of any of your dependents).
  • Group life insurance.
  • 23 days paid time off per year plus 10 federal holidays and an extra day per year of service (and on your fifth anniversary we’ll even give you a mini paid sabbatical!)
  • 401(k) matched up to 5%.
  • Free breakfast, free Friday lunches, free ice cream, free fruit, lots of cake, drinks fridge and more!

We strongly believe that diversity of experience, perspectives and backgrounds will consistently lead to a better workplace for our MOOsters (employees) and a better product for our customers. MOO does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion or belief, gender, national origin, age, sexual orientation, marital status, veteran status, disability or any other protected class. We are actively working to create a diverse & inclusive team.
