SHYFT Analytics is seeking an experienced sales leader to propel our growth. As the SVP, Sales you will lead SHYFT’s sales organization to achieve bookings, billing, and revenue goals by establishing effective go-to-market strategies aligned with SHYFT’s overall corporate strategy and goals. The SVP will play an influential role in supporting the company in delivering amazing client experiences and ensuring long-term customer retention. 

 

We are looking for a results driven, team oriented, high energy, strategic sales professional with a strong track record for building and enhancing the SHYFT commercial sales organization. This role reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement market segmentation / coverage plans for the top 20 strategic accounts
  • Develop go-to-market plans
  • Develop and implement sales strategies
  • Articulate detailed and accurate sales pipeline updates and projections
  • Identify and create new clients for products and services; negotiate and close new and upsell business opportunities
  • Maintain and enhance SHYFT’s culture and core values
  • Oversee sales team members including the recruiting, hiring, training, appraising performance and communicating expectations of staff
  • Manage sales team members to utilize SHYFT’s CRM solution and ensure timely update to key CRM data elements
  • Manage inside sales team to drive marketing qualified opportunities to sales qualified opportunities
  • Support effective transition of new accounts to Customer Success team
  • Provide competitive and product capability feedback to Strategy, Marketing and Product Management
  • Collaborate with department heads to set and continually manage customer expectations throughout the customer life cycle
  • Manage departmental expenditures within budget
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of creating and executing effective sales strategies with Life Science and/or Healthcare verticals
  • Proven track record of recruiting, hiring and developing high performance sales teams
  • Proven ability to work in a collaborative fashion with cross-functional teams to ensure superior customer satisfaction levels
  • Proven ability to negotiate and close multi-year seven digit+ contracts
  • Deep understanding of healthcare and life science applications and/or industry concepts with focus on commercial and/or business units
  • Minimum of ten years of previous sales leadership experience in Software-as-a-Service, Cloud—based solution providers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with formal sales methodologies ie: Challenger, TAS, MEDDIC, Value-based Selling, etc.
  • Experience with SPIN Selling techniques
  • Strategic acumen to identify and plan for the capabilities and talent needed to support the Company’s aggressive growth plan.
  • Possess entrepreneurial spirit and instincts with a client and marketing focused mindset
  • Drive, motivation and passion and an exceptional work ethic; ability to lead by example
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Self-motivating, able to assume responsibility and work autonomously in a professional manner
  • Bachelor’s Degree in the Life Sciences, Business or Computer Science preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
