Purple Carrot is the premier plant-based meal kit delivery service. We pride ourselves in developing, testing, and delivering great-tasting, healthy recipes that customers can prepare in the comfort of their homes. Founded in 2014, Purple Carrot is growing quickly. We seek to add a supply chain coordinator to our fun and passionate team. Each week, our teams build a 60+ ingredient supply chain to support the production of our meal kits across a multi-city production operation. Our supply chain coordinator will manage communication with ingredient suppliers and production sites to align supply sources and timelines across Purple Carrot's operations . These efforts will increase supply security, decrease waste, and scale existing supply chains. Experiences gained in this position will provide valuable insight into the operations of fast-growing company in an exciting and rapidly developing industry. About the role

• Collaborate with Culinary & Product teams to identify best product sources.
• Support partnerships team to negotiate product agreements.
• Generate and organize purchase orders.
• Arrange logistics/freight to route ingredients and packaging components to appropriate production facility. Support our culinary team in recipe development by administering ingredient cost database.
• Coordinate with inventory management and quality assurance teams at production facilities to stage inventory receiving and tracking.
• Respond quickly to supply disruptions to develop alternative supply sources.
• Collaborate with operations analysts to develop and share supply chain data.
• Communicate with production teams to identify product yields, waste, and loss.
• Collaborate with software development team to support development of database tools to improve supply chain management.
• Nurture relationships with product producers and distributors.

• Ability to manage data in Excel, CRMs, and email.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• Supply chain management/consumer packaged Goods/start-up experience a plus.
