We have an exciting opportunity to join the team as our Strategic Marketing Events Manager + Producer, leading the charge on conceptualizing, creating and executing global event programs that help drive the business forward, including but not limited to our Design+ thought leadership series and our inaugural conference.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with field marketing, design education, product marketing and sales teams to strategize on event profiles that provide value to our attendees and bring InVision from the URL to IRL through immersive experiences that nurture brand love and tell a compelling story. You not only know how to build programs but also how to build important cross-functional relationships up and down the organization that are crucial to the success of your programs. 

What you’ll do:

  • Event Strategy

      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop immersive and innovative event strategies and experiences that align with overall InVision marketing/sales strategy
      • Define, evaluate and report on events success metrics
      • Collaborate with events marketing team to continually fine tune best practices and standards across InVision and then build on them for future event planning, execution and measurement

  • Planning + Programming

      • Work with cross-functional teams and head of events to ensure positioning, messaging, goals, deliverables, and tactics are achieved before, during, and after each respective event
      • Build strong follow up programs that cross promote marketing campaigns and help sales move leads through the funnel more quickly
      • Develop event schedule and agenda in collaboration with key stakeholders to build alignment with product roadmaps, introduce creative product integrations into program, persona outreach/messaging, business priorities and executive vision.
      • Build a standardized, repeatable and scalable event “in a box” solution
      • Oversee communications and promotions plan to support attendee acquisition goals
      • Develop and review creative concepts for events and work with various stakeholders to build and enhance programs
      • Create, manage and reconcile budgets
      • Manage change and risk to project scope
      • Identify and manage dependencies
      • Foster feedback loop with cross-functional teams to continually measure event effectiveness – define and refine event metrics as part of overall marketing effectiveness

  • Production + Operations

    • Work with marketing and events partners including agencies, catering, security, live stream/video, registration, facilities, shipping, and other event logistics partners
    • Build tight workback schedules and manage cross-functional workgroups and ensure on time completion of deliverables
    • Have a fearless approach to finding innovative and fresh ways to bring InVision brand to life through experiential marketing at both strategic and tactical execution levels.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5-7 years of enterprise event management experience.
  • Fully managed event programs from 10 - 1,000 attendees, to include planning and operations from pre to post identifying venues, vendor management, presenting standard terms, logistics,labor, decor, f&b, sponsor integration, onsite management, post-event evaluation, budget, etc
  • Exceptional project management skills and experience, including managing multiple internal stakeholders, external creative agencies, events vendors, and international projects.
  • Ability to multitask and take the lead on several events simultaneously
  • Experience gaining the trust and support from senior stakeholders.

  • Independent, self-starter who can prioritize and drive deliverables to execution with minimal supervision.
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise software technology across the entire stack and a desire to learn new technologies.
  • Able to navigate through ambiguity.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, with tight deadlines
  • Familiarity with competitive event landscape
  • Marketing experience in a high-tech company/product/service strongly preferred
  • A career path that demonstrates increasing levels of responsibility and proven success delivering measurable marketing results
  • Skilled negotiator with proven experience finding creative ways to do more with less, and a track record of staying on budget.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional global organization
  • Travel: 30% +
