What you’ll impact at SmashFly

In this role, you’ll be a SQL developer working alongside experienced SQL developers and architects. You will work as a team developing SQL features and functionality for our SAAS software that is fueling a revolution in the hiring space. The work you do will impact how people attract and hire the best talent. 

What We’re Looking For

To give you a little more context about this role and what it means to our company, here’s the real deal on the person that would be most successful in this role:

•   Strong knowledge and experience working with current versions of Microsoft SQL server
•   Develop schema and stored procedures for our SAAS product offering that meet or exceed customer expectations
•   Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and engineers to deliver high quality products
•   Troubleshoot and tune complex SQL statements in a fast-paced environment
•   Make recommendations on indexing strategies and schema changes
•   Learn from your peers and share your knowledge with them in a positive, friendly way
•   Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
•   3+ years of professional development experience
•   Hands-on experience doing SQL development in stored procedures, indexes and schema
•   Hands-on experience with Microsoft data stack: SQL Server, SSIS and SSAS
•   Strong analytical and reasoning skills that result in clear technical execution
•   Skill at translating requirements into clean, efficient, quality code
•   Solid communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
•   Desire to learn new skills and grow competencies

What you need to have

•  Multi-tenant SAAS experience is desirable
•  Task estimation and risk assessment skills
•  Willingness to meet the needs of 24x7 environment
•  Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
•  Strong verbal and written communications skills
•  Self starter that can work well in a team environment
•  Must be detail oriented, ability to multi-task
