We are looking for an exceptional full stack software engineer with a background in healthcare industry and familiar with commonly used medical terminologies (ICD, DRG, HCPCS, CPT), claims processing, and/or electronic medical record (EMR) data, you will help develop, support and implement GNS software applications and databases. 

Responsibilities

• Develop, support and implement GNS software applications and databases.
• Develop, support and implement algorithms for the GNS MeasureBase Product.
• Work as part of a small (3-7) and agile development team for overall successful delivery of our products.
• Responsible for all phases of software development including engaging stakeholders to understand needs, testing, documentation, deployment, and troubleshooting user issues.
• Optimize database performance in a RedShift environment.
• Implement and maintain Docker containers.
• Implement web services interfaces.
• Provide expert guidance on the use of MeasureBase functionality.
• Write documentation and tutorials on how to use MeasureBase functionality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing applications using Scala, Java / C#, and Web technologies.
• Object Oriented Design and Development.
• Linux & Windows Operating Systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• SQL Experience with relational databases, designing schemas and formulating complex queries.
• Solid grounding in applied mathematics and/or computer science fundamentals: algorithms, data structures.
• Background in healthcare, bioinformatics, genetics, genomics, molecular biology.
