TripAdvisor is looking for an exceptional and ambitious marketing professional to join as the newest addition to the Flights team to lead our Traffic Acquisition efforts for the Flights segment and SeatGuru. This is an amazing opportunity to make a difference to the entrepreneurial Flights team, which is looking to grow at successful start-up speeds. We take a data driven approach to develop roadmaps and exceed goals. You will be expected to draw actionable conclusions from internal and external sources that can be measured and reported on. You will uncover growth opportunities, test and implement items from the roadmap, and work cross functionally as required to execute your findings and recommendations.

The Associate Marketing Manager will own a variety of paid acquisition channels for the Tripadvisor Flights product. Responsibilities will primarily focus on paid Facebook and Display but will also include Retargeting and other paid opportunities. We are seeking a “doer” who can contribute to strategy development and implementation across all Points of Sale (US & Internationally) all while delivering on our brand promise to consumers. The Associate Manager will lead a broad range of key digital advertising initiatives, including: strategic media planning and optimization across Display, Paid Social and Retargeting, creative optimization, and budget management to support the traffic acquisition goals. The ideal candidate will have a background in direct response advertising and experience in working with a leading brand advertiser, preferably in travel.

The successful candidate will be well-versed in direct response media, highly analytical, and a skilled project manager. 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in a digital marketing role supporting ecommerce websites or subscription services
  • High Proficiency working within Facebook Business Manager, Google Display Network and other Display & remarketing programs
  • Experience managing third party tracking and data integrations such as retargeting pixels, conversion tracking, and DART tags.
  • Experience working with a variety of analytics platforms and proven success analyzing and reporting on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Experience partnering with the product managers to set Test & Learn agenda and apply analytic insights to the test plan.
  • Experience collaborating closely with an internal creative team to develop new Creative and explore opportunities for new solutions to drive traffic.
  • Highly organized and adept at prioritization - You can recognize and keep track of all the moving pieces in projects, adjusting to new information and goals.
  • Proven self-starter who can identify new opportunities, develop strategies to drive growth, and push projects forward, as well as a desire to push innovation and drive business
  • Bachelor degree required; MBA a plus

Attributes:

  • Very proficient in Excel – You have an arsenal of formulas to efficiently summarize and present large datasets from multiple sources.
  • In-depth knowledge of and a passion for online marketing – with direct experience launching and optimizing prospecting and retargeting campaigns
  • Deep familiarity with the Digital Display landscape (including programmatic buying), strong understanding of Retargeting, experience with Facebook campaign management a plus
  • You stay abreast of innovations and changes in the digital landscape and looks for ways to integrate these new offerings into business strategy and campaigns.
  • Web Literate – You know your way around APIs, how to find your IP address, and how pixels work.
  • Detail-oriented project manager who can turn strategies into well-executed tactics, manage multiple work streams, and create processes that span internal and agency partners.
  • Experienced in collaborating across functions and disciplines
  • 1-2 years Management experience
