THE ROLE

Brightcove is looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the Video Cloud Product team, specializing in Ads and Monetization. Their focus would be enabling our media customers to effectively monetize their video content and engage audiences across ad-supported, subscription, and direct-to-consumer business models. The position reports directly to the VP, Product Management, Video Cloud.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the strategic vision and roadmap for Brightcove’s advertising and monetization products
  • Drive the success of our ad products and 3rd party integrations, including Brightcove SSAI and services for audience measurement and viewability
  • Evangelize our monetization products to both internal and external audiences
  • Create data products to improve in-stream ad performance and campaign effectiveness
  • Be the go-to subject matter expert for Brightcove ad products and strategy
  • Cultivate strategic relationships across the ad tech ecosystem to drive insight and show thought leadership
  • Diagnose and solve complex problems that touch the entire video platform stack
  • Use quantitative and qualitative insight to optimize our existing stack, while developing products that anticipate the evolving business needs of our customers
  • Prioritize and force-rank requirements relentlessly to align with business priorities

EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years experience creating digital products for the web, mobile apps, or emerging platforms
  • Strong understanding of the online video tech stack and industry: players, protocols, encoding, packaging, and content delivery
  • A deep understanding of the digital video advertising ecosystem -- publishers, ad serving platforms, DSPs, ad agencies, ad exchanges, audience measurement, third-party verification, etc,..
  • Fluency in the tech landscape for client and server-side ad delivery,

PLUSES

  • Work experience that includes any or all of the following:
    • Product management at a broadcaster, publisher, and/or SAAS tech company
    • Owning a product release across multiple platforms and devices
    • Content syndication to third-parties
