About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Designer to join our Services and Business Enablement team here at HubSpot. Your goal will be to create simple and powerful experiences that help make people’s lives easier and more successful. In turn, you’ll help make HubSpot a more successful company every single day. This is an important role and has serious, measurable business impact.

Top candidates will have:

• Experience creating great user experiences in a Lean way; combining research, information architecture, copy, interactions, visual design, and constant user feedback along the way. You know when you have enough data to make a decision and can move forward with confidence and purpose.
• A focus on understanding users’ business needs, behavior, and goals, and communicating that information to the team to build a shared understanding and empathy for the users. The users are at the heart of every decision you make.
• A strong opinion of what contributes to a healthy process, including research, brainstorming sessions with teammates and stakeholders, information architecture and user flows, prototyping, and testing early and often, high-fidelity mocks, quality assurance, monitoring and feedback loops, and so on. You have a set of process tools and know when and why to use them.
• Experience working closely and collaboratively with developers and product managers in a fast-paced environment. Teamwork is central to how you get work done and you know how to build strong working relationships.
• Open communication style that makes it easy to give and receive feedback with the goal of becoming better at what you do and helping the people around you become more successful, too.
• Ability to articulate design decisions and ask tough questions to help surface and challenge assumptions. The word “why” comes out of your mouth at least once in every conversation.
• Familiarity with InVision and Sketch or similar UI and prototyping tools. You can switch between using Sketch and other prototyping software depending on the need.
• Previous experience working on internal tools or systems a plus. Either way, you’re solving problems for humans and the organization through design.
• 3+ years of designing user experiences in a software development environment.
