Our Opportunity:

Chewy is hiring highly motivated and goal-oriented Senior Manager, Web & Mobile Analytics in our new Boston, MA office. In this role, you will own the web analytics roadmap, defining business requirements and working directly with internal and external technical teams on implementation and ongoing optimization. You will develop a deep understanding of how customers interact with our website – across platforms and devices – through the interpretation of large amounts of data. You will provide clear and actionable insights to the business on how to improve the customer experience and drive incremental customer value. You will be a self-starter who works effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

 What you'll do:

  • Research, recommend and drive business requirements and implementation of new web and mobile analytics requirements.
  • Drive development of tracking specifications and measurement plans; collaborate with development teams to implement and validate data.
  • Work with internal and external technical resources to maintain, correct or add new tracking.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our business, our website’s features and functionality and how customers interact with us across platforms.
  • Make recommendations to business stakeholders on website improvements based on gaps identified during quantitative and qualitative research.
  • Fulfill ad hoc requests for data and analysis from various internal teams such as Marketing, Merchandising, UX and Product.
  • Develop new dashboards and custom reporting for specific needs/requests.
  • Train business users in Google Analytics and consumption of reports/dashboards.
  • Oversee the distribution of automated reports; troubleshoot distribution problems, maintain user lists and investigate data problems or inaccuracies.
  • Manage relationship with Google Analytics account team.

 What you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Statistics or a technical/quantitative field.
  • Motivated self-starter, comfortable operating in a highly ambiguous environment with little direction.
  • Ability to juggle multiple competing priorities while delivering results.
  • 5-7 years of experience working in Web Analytics or related field.
  • Expert knowledge of Google Analytics reporting & implementation through Google Tag Manager (GTM) and BigQuery
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; data modeling experience a plus.
  • Experience writing and tuning SQL queries and knowledge of relational databases is a plus
  • Experience with technical analytics implementations strongly preferred
  • Experience with Tableau (or similar data visualization tools), A/B testing, SEO/SEM, digital marketing a plus
