Toast is a rapidly growing startup building the first all-in-one restaurant management software platform. Toast is looking for an experienced engineer who can help us grow and scale a modern front-end stack to build out our analytics and reporting framework. You will be working on software that is used every day by restaurants to run their business. Toast’s engineers tackle issues from building elegant modern intuitive UI’s which administer complex graphs of related objects to charting and graphing data. We need talented engineers to build and maintain the highest quality product as our vision moves forward.

Some projects we’ve been working on recently, include:

• Customer facing Online Ordering
• Discount administration with rules and triggers
• Reporting charts

As a UI Engineer, you will:

• Write code that ships to production
• Embed in a product team to collaborate with other engineers building web applications
• Define best practices and help choose technologies to evolve our current front-end stack while writing world-class applications
• Work with UX team, as necessary
• Mentor other engineers on the team

If you’re someone that:

• Knows D3 or other javascript visualization libraries
• Wants to work on systems that help real businesses grow
• Understands modern web standards and technologies (ES6, HTML5, React, Angular for example)
• Interested in frontend build systems (webpack, gulp, babel for example)
• Loves data and data visualizations
