As a Senior Front-End Engineer, you possess an in-depth knowledge of the presentation layer, have a solid understanding of cross platform/browser compatibility and have a passion for creating great web experiences. In this role you will be responsible for translating mockups and wireframes into semantically correct templates and expanding the functionality of our web systems. We are looking for someone who can not only recommend and implement solutions that follow best practices, but can also take an active role in shaping our digital experience.

 What you will bring:

  • 5+ years of client-side development, preferably in an agency environment.
  • Experience integrating HTML-based content with other 3rd party environments (i.e. Content Management Systems).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of building reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure and scalability.
  • Experience maintaining development infrastructure, ensuring uptime, and optimizing site performance.
  • Familiarity with the basic principles of SEO and localization..
  • Expertise using web analytics and data to drive decisions and validate the success of site enhancements.

Skills & qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
  • Demonstrated ability with server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as Stylus, LESS or SASS
  • Strong knowledge of modern server-side template libraries such as Jade, Handlebars, or Twig
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including ES6 and jQuery
  • Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues, including mobile.
  • Experience with AngularJS, ReactJS a plus.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
  • Basic knowledge of Photoshop, to be able to perform minor image adjustments
