Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a Senior Business Analyst – Financial Systems to join our IT Team based in Boston, MA. The Senior Business Analyst will provide business analysis, solutions, design, configuration; and production support to the finance and accounting department. This role will partner with Chewy’s finance and accounting organization to create and implement value added solutions that will support the explosive growth and long term success of Chewy. The ideal candidate will provide a strong mix of standard accounting (GAAP) knowledge, functional knowledge of IT financial systems, and technical knowledge of underlying system data structures and processes.

What you'll do:

• Partner with internal business teams in developing delivery roadmaps, defining business processes and associated system requirements.
• Organize and manage project work to drive predictable delivery.
• Participate in system implementation projects (requirements documentation, systems configuration, test documentation/execution, issue identification and resolution).
• Plan, prioritize, and deliver systems enhancements. Support and upgrade implemented systems.
• Architect innovative solutions to automate and scale business systems.
• Train business users.
• Mentor junior business analysts.
• Assist technical product manager in planning and delivery of larger project initiatives.

What you'll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Accounting
• 7 years of experience implementing and customizing vendor software and/or building custom financial applications through full system implementation life-cycles (analyze, design, build, test, implement, support).
• Strong business process knowledge of GL/AP/AR
• Strong financial reporting knowledge
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong analytical skills, and ability to deal with ambiguity in a rapidly changing business environment.

Bonus:

• Prior experience in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and/or SAP
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
• Business experience in an accounting or finance function
• SQL knowledge
• Prior consulting experience
• Experience working with systems that handle sensitive data and with SOX controls and change management processes
