iZotope is seeking a highly­-motivated Senior Android Software Engineer for a position on our product development team. You'll join a fast­-paced, collaborative team working on a next­-generation product that enables musicians to be creative. Responsibilities:

• Lead development efforts for a complex Android audio application
• Collaborate with iOS team to develop a cross­-platform architecture
• Ensure robust quality, performance, and usability

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of proven work experience developing and shipping applications for mobile applications with an emphasis on Android
• Proficiency in Java and Kotlin
• Working knowledge of C++
• Experience developing cross­-platform mobile applications
• Experience using the Android NDK
• Experience with multi­threaded systems and performance tuning
• Knowledgeable with test driven development, unit testing, or similar testing methodologies
• Working knowledge of architectures, trends, and emerging technologies in mobile
• Experience with source control such as Git

Candidates will ideally possess:

• Experience developing for connected/smart devices and network programming
• Experience with distributed messaging systems, such as ZeroMQ
• Experience with RxJava
• Experience using OpenSL ES or AAudio libraries
• Additional experience in web and cloud technologies
• Additional experience with iOS development
• Previous work in an agile environment
• A passion for music and recording

This position is full-time and located in our Cambridge, MA office. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
