Security Community Manager
Rapid7 is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Security Community Manager to support the Company’s user community and the broader security practitioner community. You will identify creative ways to drive social engagement and inspire our community of security professionals. You will own end-to-end strategy and implementation of this across the Rapid7 Community portal, as well as through third party social networking sites and forums, community event participation, and other community initiatives and groups. We are looking for a candidate with a passion for the security community and a commitment to collaboration and excellence of service.
Job ResponsibilitiesAs Rapid7’s Security Community Manager, you will engage and support the security community in the following ways:
- Managing and building engagement on Rapid7’s own community platform – including determining the strategy and vision for the site, recruiting and interacting with users, developing ideas for value creation, ensuring execution excellence across stakeholders
- Ideating on new ways to engage our community through social media, our technology, and people
- Working with Rapid7’s thought leaders and experts to help educate and support the community through blogs and discussion threads
- Managing and building Rapid7’s participation and profile in third party community sites and social networks, including Twitter, Reddit, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and others
- Ensuring alignment with Rapid7 business goals and working closely with core stakeholders across the business to represent the community perspective
- Staying informed of current information security news and creating content to support Rapid7’s users and security practitioners
- Supporting the security community through community-oriented initiatives and activities
- Participating in security community events
- Measuring program impact
This is an influential role, reporting to the Vice President of Community and Public Affairs, and working with individuals at all levels across the company and in the industry.
