Our co-founders are not only veterans in next generation antivirus solutions, but they have also successfully pioneered and led companies in the Boston area that have been purchased by the likes of IBM. We have a unique, not to mention patented, solution for malware defense.

Barkly is seeking an innovative, experienced security pre-sales engineer, ideally with expertise in cyber security. This role will be instrumental in driving Barkly’s go-to-market efforts. In a fast-paced startup environment, this person will work closely with product management, engineering, and of course the sales team. To that end, we need a self-starter who can work effectively with all departments internally, as well as with the CTOs, CIOs, CISOs, and security experts we sell to.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Become an expert in the Barkly solution and endpoint security competitive marketplace
  • Lead technical presentations, demonstrations and conversations with C Level audiences, as well technical stakeholders
  • Be subject matter expert for technical support throughout the sales cycle for both customers and partners
  • Remove sales obstacles through creativity and adaptation to rapidly changes circumstances
  • Respond to customer RFPs/RFIs
  • Position the technology against competitive offerings
  • Attend and champion Barkly products at external events and conferences
  • Own the POC process:
    • Coordinate logistics across all stakeholders
    • Gather customer requirements
    • Tailor POC tests and findings accordingly
    • Assist with initial configuration and orientation
  • Capture requested features and provide feedback to cross functional teams at Barkly 

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3+ years of SE experience
  • Ideally 3+ years infosec experience (but not required)
  • Ability to work independently with substantial latitude for action and decision while maintaining focus on achieving optimal outcomes as part of a collaborative development effort
  • Flexible and energetic personality with strong relationship-building skills
  • Passion for cyber security and for providing a superior sales experience
  • Collaborative and team-player attitude
  • Effective problem-solving capabilities
  • Takes initiative and approaches all tasks and projects proactively
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks with little to no supervision
  • Ability to work independently
  • Possibility of 20% domestic travel

Added bonus if you have one or more infosec-specific professional certifications, such as (but not limited to) CISSP, CISM, CEH, CEPT, OSCP, GPEN, CGEIT, CISA, PCI-QSA, CRISC.
