The Revenue Accountant will support all aspects of the revenue cycle. This role will report to the revenue and billing manager and assist with review of sales contracts and quotes, revenue recognition, analysis of technical accounting issues, and capitalization of deferred costs. This role will work with other company departments to ensure that customer-related revenue is accounted for, billed and reported properly. The Revenue Accountant must be able to assist with the reconfiguration of current processes and controls, as well as ad hoc requests on an as needed basis. This is a newly created position due to the growth of the company.

• Monthly revenue recognition entries and related reconciliations​
• Interact with legal, professional services and billing to ensure quote and invoice accuracy
• Track contract milestones to ensure revenue accuracy
• Assist with month-end general ledger close
• Preparation and analysis of monthly revenue reports
• Compilation of company bookings report for Finance and Sales
• Calculation of commission payments
• Calculation of international revenue in multiple currencies and communication with in country accountants to ensure revenue is recorded accurately
• Assist with annual audit

• Minimum 3 years’ progressive accounting and/​or finance experience in a public accounting firm
• Knowledge of GAAP and SEC rules related to revenue reporting – specifically, technology industry/​SaaS based company accounting principles and accounting for multiple element arrangements
• NetSuite, Salesforce (or other CRM system) experience required
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• International experience and foreign currency exchange accounting is a plus
• CPA a plus
