The software team at Superpedestrian works on the Copenhagen Wheel’s companion mobile apps, backends to support the rich wheel data we collect, a direct to consumer sales engine, manufacturing integration, research and support tools, and much more! We’re a tight knit, industrious bunch, and we are seeking a Senior Release Engineer to join the Copenhagen Wheel consumer software team. The ideal candidate has strong skills in release management, automation and deployment, as well as operational performance.
There are currently several opportunities open in the software team, and we are looking for candidates at different stages of their career. Don’t hesitate to apply if you only meet some of the preferred qualifications or if you feel you’re overqualified. This is a position where you will have the opportunity to shape your responsibilities based on your skills and interests.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead software development of tools and testing infrastructure across multiple products.
  • Iterate on build and deployment processes to improve reliability and performance.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency and application performance.
  • Drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability.
  • Coordinate development of integrated build and testing across server, mobile and embedded products.
  • Mentor junior team members.
  • Participate in peer code reviews.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum sprint and release planning.

What we’re looking for:

  • 3+ years of industry experience building scalable backend services
  • Understanding of system and application design
  • Experience with Python or other scripting language
  • Experience with a variety of testing frameworks and techniques
  • Experience with Jenkins or other continuous integration tools

Even better:

  • Experience working with a developer community
  • Experience with Salesforce integration and deployment
  • Passion for improving company wide processes leveraging software solutions
