Project Manager

NewStore is looking for a Project Manager to manage the delivery of Commerce projects in a partner-focused delivery model. The Project Manager manages a team of Solution Architects and Solution Engineers and will be responsible for project documentation, KPIs, team utilization, relationship with delivery partners, and customer satisfaction. Successful delivery will be measured on projects completed with a partner to meet customer expectations within budget, scope and time. The Project Manager will collaborate with the Solution Partner and Sales team as part of the solution definition, pricing, scope and negotiation. As a SaaS business, the Project Manager will be committed to customer success for long-term customer relationships.

This position is a key role at the intersection of the NewStore team, Delivery Partners, and NewStore Clients and thus requires an individual with finesse in business situations, an ability to prioritize while meeting client expectations. You will be an expert at implementing and maintaining Mcommerce solutions to levels of best industry practice.

The position reports to the VP Services. The place of work could be in Boston or NYC with periodic travel to headquarters and customer locations.

Responsibilities

  • Foster ecosystem of solution providers and serve as primary project liaison with solution providers for the delivery of successful NewStore solutions
  • Meet with clients to define and articulate business requirements and a delivery plan for solutions leveraging NewStore, existing ecommerce, POS, Order Management, Fulfillment, and Financial systems, etc.
  • As a primary contact point for customers, establish a strong and trusted relationship with customers that is fostered over time
  • Emphasize leveraging of NewStore best practices and methodology throughout the project lifecycle
  • Empower and manage team of internal Solution Architects and Solution Engineers tasked with making Customer Deployments and Solution Partners successful
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendor for the flawless execution of projects
  • Manage successful transition between sales process and project implementation as well as handover into project operations after launch
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
  • Manage changes in project scope, costs and schedule
  • Measure and report project performance
  • Perform risk assessment and manage / minimize project risks.

Qualifications

  • A leader who is able to communicate with individuals at various levels of an organization from C-level to project developer
  • Proven success with managing projects for delivery on time, in scope, and to customer business objectives
  • Enjoys working with customers - customer focused
  • Track record of high customer satisfaction
  • Relevant success in the following areas:
    • Managing technical teams (utilization targets, performance reviews, retention)
    • Negotiation
    • Customer escalations
    • Meeting targets for bookings, billings, utilization, customer satisfaction
    • Working with solution providers
  • ecommerce and order management industry experience background
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • A facility for interpreting business needs and making them accessible to different target groups
  • Flexibility in the presence of shifting situations whilst maintaining a cool and dominant posture - ability to represent company vision and values with confidence
  • A strategic thinker who can anticipate potential challenges related to invisible constraints such as regional/international differences, internal customer motivation, etc.
  • Preferably university qualifications in a technical field and an MBA
  • Travel 25-50%
