Our team is looking to hire a Program Manager who will be responsible for managing key internal projects and processes for both web and mobile applications across Runkeeper. There are no other roles like this at Runkeeper so you will have the opportunity to truly define the role and how it works into the team, and then own all major projects and initiatives across the company. 

At Runkeeper, we appreciate the creativity and hard work that goes into developing a high quality experience for our users, and this role will be crucial to maintaining those efforts. You will work closely with ASICS and Runkeeper stakeholders and with resources across teams to ensure a successful outcome to one-off projects as well as continuous programs. This means assessing existing processes, improving where needed, gaining internal buy-in, and then ensuring process is followed to achieve deliverables are on time and on budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage key programs to the Runkeeper-ASICS integration and to the Runkeeper app
  • Gather and manage stakeholder insights and expectations, establish project plan, deliverables, due dates and deadlines and maintain expectations across all parties
  • Determine best approach for implementation and gain stakeholder agreement
  • Identify process needs in the Runkeeper team and follow-through with implementation and documentation of new processes, with the goal of improving efficiency for internal resources rather than creating process for process’s sake
  • Own the release schedule process, including timeline planning, cross-team advocacy and contingency planning, communication to stakeholders in Runkeeper and ASICS, and wrap-up of key results
  • Build and maintain a dashboard for informing stakeholders across Runkeeper and ASICS of the status of current projects and releases

Requirements:

  • 3+ years Program or Project Management experience in technology
  • Experience working with and managing resources across dotted lines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with very high attention to detail
  • Knowledge of how to use collaboration and organizational tools such as Microsoft Excel, Google Docs, Confluence, JIRA
  • Proficiency in Agile methodology
  • Experience working in technical project or program management role and understanding of how Product, Systems, and Marketing teams work together
