Product Marketing Manager - Competitive Intelligence

We are looking for an experienced competitive intelligence and pricing analyst who is passionate about the restaurant and tech industries. This role requires you to be passionate about uncovering new industry trends, and work with senior leaders in order to implement new pricing strategies. The work will require that the candidate have strong communications skills in sharing key insights across our Sales, Marketing, and Product teams; while also having the analytical chops capable of building out a pricing elasticity model. This strategic role will provide a high level of visibility across the senior leadership team.
Job Description/Responsibilities:
- Spearhead competitive intelligence efforts, uncovering trends across the restaurant technology landscape and generating actionable insights for the company to act upon
- Deliver strategic insights to Product Management; providing insights on market trends and competitive product developments
- Partner with Sales Enablement team to help drive competitive insights; ensuring Sales team has resources to effectively position Toast against competitors
- Present quarterly competitive updates to senior leadership team, highlighting material changes in the restaurant technology market and comparing to internal benchmarks
- Track pricing trendings across the market, set internal pricing benchmarks, and share key insights with stakeholders across business
- Successfully build pricing models for new product development, combining external trends as well as internal economics
- Spearhead pricing strategy and testing plan; building analysis and driving proposals by partnering with Operations and Finance
- Actively track and report out on pricing performance; uncovering trends in the data and proactively sharing actionable insights across the business
Requirements:
- BA/BS, MBA a plus
- 3-5 years experience in Pricing, Strategic Planning, or Research function
- Restaurant technology or SaaS experience preferred
- Skilled written and verbal communicator, with comfort presenting in front of large audience
- Data-driven story-teller; ability to tell a clear and concise story through analytical insights
- Ability to work across the organization, heavily influencing priorities across multiple stakeholders
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
