Are you a data scientist ready to make an impact on the data science world? The Technical Product Director will steer the creation of a machine learning product used by thousands of data scientists. We are looking for a talented data scientist to join our fast growing team in Boston to build our disruptive predictive analytics platform. In this role you will be working with clients from a wide range of industries, world-class data scientists and software engineers, and an executive team that is super passionate about data science. You will gather product vision, ideas, and requirements from both external and internal sources, create and maintain a dynamic roadmap, and work with an enthusiastic development team to deliver our dream product.

Your work will include:

  • Understand user needs from a wide-range of industries and estimate the business value of alternative features to solve their problems
  • Deliver product requirement documents with prioritized features and corresponding justification
  • Act as an effective liaison between engineering/data science and marketing/sales teams
  • Work with engineering team to design solutions to customer problems
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to build great data science workflows
  • Provide summaries of new developments to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Manage the entire lifecycle of software releases from concept to launch and sunset
  • The position will be based in Boston, MA.

Skills:

  • 6+ years of real-world experience applying predictive modeling and machine learning for business
  • Ability to quickly understand technical concepts and their relevance for business applications
  • Fluency with scripting (Python / R)
  • Excellent organizational, writing and interpersonal skills in both technical and non-technical communications
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

Plus:

  • Product and/or project management experience
  • Knowledge and interest in User Interface / User Experience (UI/UX) design
  • Experience with agile product management using JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience applying data science in banking, insurance or healthcare industries
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms
  • Experience with Hadoop and related Big Data technologies
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) Certification
  • Product Management Certificate
