We’re looking for a talented Principal Software Engineer for our Ingestion team! We are a highly scalable, multi-region SaaS component that glues many services together to create and store both video and audio assets that ultimately ends up serving millions of end users around the world!

About the job:

• Define discrete technical requirements from high level goals
• Convert requirements into small iterable work items
• Distribute the work amongst several team members
• Keep the team focused on overall goals
• Hands on coding
• Develop and maintain systems to process media files and metadata across thousands of customers
• Work at high scale and deal with complex multi-tenant system problems
• Work in multiple languages and technologies including: Java, Scala, Go, Mongo and BigQuery

About you:

• 7+ years software development experience
• Ability to learn multiple different languages and use lots of tools
• Good working knowledge of Linux
• Always has evidence backed answers (enjoys metrics)
• Experience with zero downtime services
• Experience with AWS Cloud services with an understanding of CDNs
• Proven track records of successful project completion
