EdX is expanding to focus on Spanish learners and is looking for a marketing leader for that initiative. edX already provides more than 10 million people across the globe access to the best universities and institutions, including Harvard, MIT, Oxford, and Microsoft.

As an edX marketing manager, you will develop and execute a clearly defined marketing strategy for the Spanish speaking market to drive rapid learner growth, bringing qualified learners to edX, engaging them in edX courses and developing them into loyal edX learners and supporters.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate with Spanish-speaking learners to drive learner acquisition and retention.
  • Write copy for messages in a variety of formats, including weekly email newsletters and announcements, press releases, blogs, website, advertisements, and social media in collaboration with edX communications, CRM and acquisition teams.
  • Review and edit Spanish language course about pages for readability and SEO rich keywords.
  • Review and edit copy and design for Spanish language creative messages and advertisements.
  • Write and translate copy and creative for the enterprise marketing team for B2B presentations and marketing collateral, including tip sheets, infographics, video scripts, etc.
  • Coordinate with edX communications team and external public relations agency on strategy, messaging and execution of campaigns to drive edX brand awareness for Spanish speaking edX learners around the world.
  • Partner with our educational services department in engaging with universities with courses in Spanish
  • Make data-driven decisions in selecting Spanish courses for promotion, optimizing for KPI, such as learner registrations and enrollments.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Strong writing skills with experience in Spanish writing for marketing or journalism and creating SEM ads, banner ads, newsletter copy, blog content, social media copy and more
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics, search engine optimization, Wordpress, SailThru, and managing social media channels preferred
  • Experience working with social media
  • Ability to work in an organized, efficient manner and to communicate well across teams, departments and outside organizations

Preferred:

  • 4+ years of experience in online marketing
  • Experience marketing to Spanish-speaking communities worldwide
