Retail Business Services (RBS) is looking for a bright, energetic Lead Java Developer to join our Web Center located in Quincy, MA. RBS serves leading and growing grocery retailers with millions of shoppers located throughout the East Coast. Currently, the Web Center supports 5 websites, 4 mobile apps and is still growing. RBS strives to enable our retailers to be number one in all markets they operate in by:

• Leading IT staff, vendors and third party providers to make our retailers more competitive by using enabling IT technology
• Delivering innovative and simple to use business processes and systems
• Achieving excellence in the end user (shopper) experience

As an RBS Software Developer, your objective is to be part of a team of IT professionals that provide new functionality and support for the web sites.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop, analyze, review and modify applications through the complete life cycle of product development.
• Integrate with third party, best in class applications.
• Work in Agile teams directly with product managers and business analysts to complete functionality in new and existing applications.
• Implement business functional requirements into robust, secure, high-quality applications.
• Code to current standards and follow industry best practices and patterns.
• Maintain and support mission-critical applications while working closely with team members to provide project and ongoing operational support for applications.
• Participate in support rotation and troubleshoot production issues to insure the continued operations of the business.

Essential SkillsQualifications:
Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of software/web development experience.
• Solid experience with Java, Camel, SQL, REST, and JSON.
• Understanding of security for web-based applications and APIs.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and AJAX.
• Familiar with Unix/Linux, Bash, Git and Gradle
• Experience with JUnit, TDD, BDD.
• Experience with ATG Web Commerce
