EnerNOC, a leading provider of energy intelligence solutions, has an immediate need for a Junior Project Manager to join our world-class Engineering organization. Reporting to the Manager of Project Management in Boston, MA, the Junior Project Manager will play a vital role in leading project teams responsible for architecting, designing, building, testing and maintaining our state-of-the-art software product suite. This individual, who will learn and grow in this role, will serve as a key contributor within Engineering and will be a self-starting, results driven worker responsible for driving and delivering high quality products on time and within budget.

You will: 

• Serve as Scrum Master of 1 or more development teams.
• Create and manage project documentation, including project plans, work breakdown structures, project charters, risk registers, etc.
• Work with Manager of Project Management to ensure alignment of your projects within the organization’s structure and goals
• Drive process improvements where necessary.
• Foster a collaborative environment within the organization.
• Proactively communicate project status to upper management to provide visibility into projects.
• Manage project time tracking to ensure accurate record keeping.

You have:

• Bachelor degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years working within software development lifecycle (SDLC), preferably with some time spent as a technical contributor
• Demonstrated understanding of the principles of project management. Technical players looking to move into Project Management space will be considered.
• Must be a strong and focused team player and a consensus builder.
• Ability to sift through details quickly to determine what’s important vs. what’s noise, along with a singular focus on project goals.

Nice to have:

• Scrum Certification is a PLUS.
