About you and the role:

You’ve been developing iOS applications for the last few years and think you’ve seen and done it all. Developing, testing and submitting apps to the App Store is old hat, and you understand the Apple ecosystem pretty well (what on earth is a provisioning profile, anyway?!). Maybe you reminisce about the old days of the App Store, and how exciting it was to be part of an exploding new world. Maybe you’re looking to do something fresh and different now. What can you build next to get regain some of that excitement you had from your first app submission?

Back in 2015, Apple gave all of us iOS devs the keys to a brand new castle: AppleTV!!! Using the finely tuned Objective-C and Swift skills you have cultivated, you can now create apps in a whole new world – with a permanent internet connection!!! Instead of doing this in your spare time, why not come to work at one of Boston’s “Best Places to Work in 2015” (per BostInno’s Coolest Companies) and develop them full time!!!

Here in Brightcove’s Global Services group we are looking for experienced iOS developers to architect and build the next generation of video-centric apps for our customers, most of whom are looking to bring their video content into the living room. If you think you have the chops to build the next Netflix or Hulu, with a stunning interface that captivates users, then come join our team. Our office has a scenic view of the Tea Party museum and is a short walk to South Station, with collaborative spaces, open layouts and lots of natural light.

Qualifications:

• Experience shipping one or more iOS/tvOS apps, ideally currently available in the App Store
• 5 years of Software Development experience, with at least 2 in iOS

Previous video experience is not necessary, but a team-first attitude and a passion for creating top quality software is. Our team is small and looking forward to welcoming high quality developers who are ready to learn. Once you ramp up, you will be expected to be able to handle working on multiple projects and manage your time effectively as the team's opportunities expand.
