Brightcove's Global Services (Consulting) team draws from deep digital media expertise to address our client's complex issues that require customization of Brightcove's standard set of products. The programs and projects that the Program Management Office (PMO) works on ranges from developing and designing multi-year global media OTT solutions (think: like Netflix or Hulu) all the way to smaller, more targeted add-ons for our Digital Marketing and Media clientele.

The Global Services team is engaged in two types of activity:

  • Advisory Services, where we work with our top tier clients to roadmap, plan, and execute on specific targets in their digital media strategies across multiple parties- both within and without Brightcove, and
  • Technology Services, where we provide custom and innovative experiences around Brightcove products in collaboration with our talented in-house Global Services Technology team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Global Services co-op you will be responsible for daily activities that ensure the success of our projects and the running of our business. You will be exposed to the Software Development Lifecycle, our Program Management methodology, and interact with other supporting groups within Brightcove such as our legal and finance departments. As Brightcove Global Services evolves in 2017 to have a global operational presence, you will collaborate not only with Boston-based team members, but be responsible for training and assisting team members across the globe. You will have support and assistance throughout the experience, but will be laying the groundwork for standardizing practices in distributed offices, with various members reporting completion and data to your desk.

  • Learn and document weekly, monthly, and quarterly required operational practices
  • Learn, document and then train various audiences on tools and best practices
  • Learn and then upgrade reports using widely used Salesforce.com and FinancialForce.com systems
  • Exposure and potentially some preliminary Project Management including:
    • Communications Planning and enforcement
    • Selection of methodology and milestone delivery mechanism per project in collaboration with development team
    • Risk Assessment, tracking, and mitigation planning
    • Scope and Budget control, change order management
    • Regular Status Reporting

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Exposure or hands-on knowledge of video and players
  • Solid communications skills
  • Solid Excel, PowerPoint skills
  • Organized, Professional, likes working on a fun, but fast-paced team
