Panorama Education is a fast-growing Boston startup focused on helping K-12 schools improve through the power of data. We currently serve more than 6,500 schools around the world, and we have raised $16mm in funding from Spark Capital, Owl Ventures, YCombinator, Mark Zuckerberg, and others.

We’re looking for an analyst and executor to play a central role in our organization, supporting finance strategy and scaling our financial operations as we significantly increase revenue -- and our impact in schools across the country. You will report to our Head of Finance & Strategy and play a critical role in ensuring that we make sound financial decisions, derive insights from reporting and budgeting, and model and track progress against our plan. You’ll also be a cross-functional leader focused on accurately tracking and reporting revenue and collections.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Finance Operations

• Partner with the Client Success and Sales teams to ensure proper accounting of revenue and collection of cash
• Run (and improve, and scale) A/R, A/P, monthly, quarterly and annual closings, audits and tax filings
• Manage bank reconciliations, expense accruals, prepaid and depreciation schedules
• Support RFP submissions by providing financial details
• Effectively create and implement accounting policies and procedures
• Calculate quarterly commission payments

• Financial Planning and Strategy
• Support financial modeling, metrics, goal setting, and annual budgeting process -- you'll be like Panorama’s compass and operational backbone as we grow.
• Create and automate management, board and investor reports that are digestible and concise. You'll help us answer key questions so we always know how we are doing, what success means, and how we plan ahead.
• Support co-founders and Head of Finance and Strategy in organizing, planning, and executing monthly board meetings.

What We’re Looking For:

• At least 2+ years of experience in a finance or accounting role in fast-growing SaaS company
• Resourceful, tenacious, curious - always tries to find the answer before asking the question and voraciously learns about the systems, tools, processes and people that help to make us productive
• High attention to detail and well organized - plans ahead, manages projects, understands the importance of sweating the small stuff and feels ownership and responsibility for getting it right
• Strength in and passion for coaching, teaching, collaborating and learning -- especially around complicated financial concepts (you translate financial concepts and processes so that your colleagues can make smart decisions, and you adjust your practices to meet their context)
• Experience scaling processes, developing improvements and rolling them out, helping team members manage change
• Sense of urgency and flexibility, as well as humor, humility and positivity necessary in a fast-paced, fast-growing start-up
• Immediately trustworthy -- team members feel confident in your discretion
