ABOUT ROLE
 
The Director, Total Rewards will serve as a strategic leader responsible for the strategy, design, and implementation of creative, market-competitive total reward packages for LogMeIn’s diverse and global employees.  This includes leading the annual comp review; developing and managing total cash compensation approaches; base variable and bonus compensation; long term equity packages; a variety of rewards and recognition programs; and retirement plans for our expanding global workforce that positively impacts our business strategy and objectives.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Define and execute on a compensation philosophy that will enable us to attract, develop, and retain top talent by: 
    • Providing subject matter expertise and accurately interpreting, counseling, communicating, and educating HR Business Partners, Managers and Executives on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretations, and job evaluations for current and new positions to LogMeIn.
    • Partnering with HR Operations on a collective effort to build and integrate job bands, grade levels, and promotion guidelines into the total rewards programs.
    • Directing the benchmarking efforts associated with the rewards mechanics and elevate our understanding of competitiveness.
    • Collaborating with Finance and Leadership to build and manage cyclical and non-cyclical compensation budgets.
    • Applying current and emerging market trends to identify and address potential opportunities and gaps.
    • Partnering with HR Operations in optimizing all global compensation processes including plan design, market competitiveness, distribution and sign off.
  • Further refine LogMeIn’s global employee benefits programs and policies, ensuring alignment and embodiment of cultural values and company strategy through: 
    • Managing partnerships with third-party Benefits Broker/s, Vendors, Consultants, and Advisors to regularly review offerings, plan designs, eligibility requirements, and participation.
    • Coordinating and leading the 401(k) administration committee and investment committee, as well other international retirement plans.
    • Maintaining expert knowledge of benefit laws/regulations, providing oversight and guidance of internal procedure to ensure compliance and consistency. 
    • Reviewing claims and utilization data on an ongoing basis; analyzing and interpreting data for trends, improvements, and efficiencies.
    • Creating and implementing various wellness initiatives and programs; establishing ROI regarding programs.
    • Overall management of analysis, design, compliance, communication, implementation, administration, monitoring and reporting of health, life, disability, and other benefit programs.
  • Work closely with HR Operations, HR Business Partners, and other cross-functional teams on various initiatives, such as:
    • Participating in M&A due diligence; managing the M&A comp and benefit integration process including job profile integration, compensation integration, and FLSA review/determinations.
    • Partnering with HR Operations to ensure that all welfare and retirement plans (health, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA, 401(k), etc.) meet legal, regulatory and audit compliance.
    • Regularly conducting audits of internal HR systems to enhance data integrity and efficiency.
    • Collaborate with Recruiting, HR Business Partners, and business leaders to provide counsel and build solutions appropriately (e.g. training for Managers on how to have a compensation conversation.) 
    • Lead broader communications out to staff to ensure understanding of total rewards programs including annual open enrollment.
  • Build and manage a Total Rewards team of comp and benefit analyst/experts as required to support LogMeIn’s expanding business and employee based
 
QUALIFICATIONS
 
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance or other related area; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in total rewards design and implementation
  • Demonstrated compensation experience in the following areas: executive compensation, base salary, market pricing, variable pay and performance management, job evaluation, data analysis, research and cost modeling
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in the areas of compensation and benefits
  • 5+ years of hands on experience managing people, processes and technology
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, laws and practices
  • CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) or progress toward certification preferred
  • Technical understanding of HR Systems; Workday experience preferred
  • Ability to understand, balance, and articulate both tactical and strategic planning issues
  • Strong project management skills with proven track record, including ability to manage diverse cross-functional teams and multiple projects
  • Must possess excellent written/verbal communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Effectively translates quantitative and qualitative data into actionable insights, strategies and plans and can articulate data visually and in an understandable manner
  • Effective at leading, and communicating with Executive leadership, but with a willingness to play a 'hands-on' role with key projects and work streams
