Join us as we equip the foot soldiers in this work – the CEOs and volunteer board members – as they build a better future. BoardOnTrack is a high growth SaaS company providing expertise, training, web-based tools and a membership community to charter public school boards nationwide. We are looking for someone to help us build out our sales processes and team. If you have been part of the rapid scaling of an early stage SaaS company, have a proven track record in building a predictable sales machine, are extremely entrepreneurial, and intellectually curious, then we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Rapidly Scale New Bookings – Leverage current sales success factors and turn them into a predictable success machine that consistently hits and exceeds aggressive growth targets.
  • Build Sales Team – Roll-up your sleeves take our small but mighty sales team, and leverage it into a predictable sales machine. This will include daily coaching of new and existing sales team members into top performers, with close monitoring of individual sales activity. In addition, you will need to assist in defining the sales team needed to hit/exceed targets, and actively recruit and train additional sales hires.
  • Sales Processes – Take our nascent playbook and turn it into an actionable, trackable toolset. Refine and adapt as needed. Partner with marketing team to develop necessary collateral and sales enablement materials. Ensure consistency with defined sales processes and activities.
  • Sales Operations and Reporting – Develop internal reporting mechanisms that ensure accurate forecasting and help the collective team understand what is working, what is not working and how to adjust accordingly.

Experience and Skills

  • Concrete, roll-up your sleeves, experience in building successful sales teams, at early stage start-ups.
  • Concrete selling experience with a high touch product using consultative sales.
  • Experience with The Challenger Sale model a plus.
  • Results oriented. Your success and ours will ultimately be measured “by the numbers”.
  • A statistical and analytic background. You should be able to excite and motivate the team with the data and the insights they provide.
  • Patience, empathy, good listener, and an outstanding coach.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication, project management, presentation and relationship-building skills.
  • Interest and knowledge of the charter school movement and non-profit space is helpful, but not a pre-requisite.
